UPDATE 10/9/2019: this position has been filled. Thank you!
This year for Lowcountry VegFest 2019 we have orchestrated a Secondary Speaker Tent to create a learning opportunity for event attendees to learn about a variety of topics from five different volunteer speakers.
Click: Secondary Speaker Tent Topics & Schedule
We need a volunteer to run the tent for the day and for this service we will pay $100. Each speaker has 30 minutes (last speaker has 1 hour) for presentation and Q&A. There will be breaks during which you can hear the Main Stage speakers, eat, browse booths, and visit the restroom.
Your duties will include:
- Arriving at 10am to familiarize yourself with the basic PA system so that you can turn it on/off, turn on/off the microphone, and adjust the volume.
- Introduce each speaker. Speaker bios will be provided.
- Keep speakers on schedule.
The 20 x 20 tent will be set up with a table and 30 chairs before you arrive. The PA system will be on the table.
An ideal candidate is someone who is interested in hearing the speakers, comfortable with basic public speaking, and organized.
